US: Sarah Palin and Chewing Tobacco Protest Latest Bloomberg Proposal Source from: Christian Science Monitor 05/06/2013 According to an Inquisitr report and a variety of other media sources on Saturday, former vice presidential candidate and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin addressed the NRA's annual convention on Friday in Houston, Texas and made another reference to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's efforts to ban the public's ability to use legal products in his hometown. While speaking about the New York mayor's desire to restrict tobacco products in the Big Apple, Palin pulled a tin of smokeless tobacco out of her back pocket – so it appeared – and held it up to a receptive audience. Recently, while giving another speech, Sarah Palin took a Big Gulp drink – a much larger serving of soda pop than Mayor Bloomberg's proposed 16-ounce drink limit which he proposed earlier, though the proposed law it is currently held up in District court in New York. Within the latest display of defiance against the New York mayor, Palin threatened to begin chewing tobacco. Drinking Big Gulps and chewing tobacco are now two measures to protest Bloomberg's controversial rules of banning products in New York City. Enditem |
