In 1999, the Zhuhai Hongta Renheng Paper Co., Ltd. profited 150 million yuan ranking first in the country under the situation that the Chinese paper industry was sluggish. The high-grade coating white jam paper developed by the company won the first prize of the state science progress. This was the first first-grade prize of the state science and technology progress obtained by China’s paper industry. The company’s second construction stage, which began in August 1998, went into trial production in December 1999.
