Huabao Essence & Flavorings Project Nearly Completed

Construction of Yunnan Huabao Essence and Flavorings Co., Ltd. in Yunnan Province is near completion, with equipment being installed. The company is expected to go into trial production in mid-December. Yunnan Huabao Essence & Flavorings is jointly built by Hongta Industry Co. of Yunnan, Huabao Group from Hong Kong, and a German company. The joint venture was registered in October last year, and construction began in April this year. The first-phase project covers an area of about 3 hectares, with a multi-function building, a workshop and a reception center. The total investment is 3 million U.S. dollars. The establishment will ease China’s tobacco sector’s reliance on imports for essence and flavorings for cigarette production. It is learned that Yunnan Huabao employed a number of professionals for production and management not long ago, laying a good foundation for its operation in the near future.
