Shanghai Researchers Develop Compound Fertilizer for Tobacco

Researchers at the Environmental Protection Research Institute of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Science have developed 25 kinds of special compound fertilizer for vegetable, tobacco, fruit and tea production. The institute sold the technology to Shanghai Chemical Factory, which uses it in production and scores 120 million yuan in annual output value.

The special fertilizer is now used on 80% of the vegetable gardens in Shanghai’s suburbs, and the fertilizer special for tobacco production is used on nine tobacco production bases of Shanghai Tobacco Corporation.
