Nantong Filter-tip Factory Passes ISO9002 Assessment

Nantong Experimental Filter-tip Factory passed a third-party assessment of its ISO9002 quality control system on December 22-23. The factory began introducing ISO9002 standards in May 2000. It took three months for the factory to educate its employees, prepare relevant documents. Compiled in this period were a manual of quality control, 28 program documents, 19 operational documents and 142 forms. Trial implementation of the standards began on August 1. After that, the quality control system passed two internal assessments, one manager appraisal, one assessment by a consulting firm, and another assessment by the provincial tobacco company.
