<strong>China: Changde Tobacco Machinery Workers Perform Well at Qualification Trial</strong> Source from: Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. 10/13/2014 ![]() A team of four outstanding workers with Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in Changde City of south central China's Hunan Province showed good performances at a provincial-level trial to determine qualifications for the 6th National Numerical Control Skills Contest in the 2014 China Skills Contest. With the participation of 239 contestants from 52 teams representing 14 cities and prefectures in Hunan, the trial was held in Hengyang City of Hunan and ended on September 24. The trial attached great importance to bringing the realities of production at enterprises into line with international standards, was of high technical requirements, and was highly challenging to the contestants. The trial was divided into the part of theoretical tests and the part of practical operation. The four contestants from Changde Tobacco Machinery respectively participated in the skills competitions of workers of the numerical control lathe work group and the processing center operation workers group, all showing good performances. In particular, Contestant Yang Zhi with Changde Tobacco Machinery won the title of honor as a "technical expert of Hunan Province" awarded by Hunan Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department, and was granted a certificate of Grade One national vocational qualification (for senior technicians). Besides, Hunan Province Federation of Trade Unions awarded Yang Zhi a "Hunan Provincial May 1 Labor Medal" for winning honors for Changde Tobacco Machinery and Team Changde. Enditem |
