<strong>China: New ZJ116 Unit of Changde Tobacco Machinery Passes Acceptance Appraisal</strong>

A second ZJ116 ultrahigh speed cigarette rolling and tipping unit manufactured by Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province for Qingdao Cigarette Factory in east China's Shandong Province passed an appraisal for technical acceptance by the user on August 1.

The new ZJ116 unit passed the user acceptance appraisal with a favorable state of operation and stable product quality.

Results of the acceptance appraisal indicate that the average production efficiency and operation stability of the new unit are both higher than those of the first unit.

After the first ZJ116 unit was delivered to Qingdao Cigarette Factory on the basis of an acceptance appraisal on January 11, 2014, Changde Tobacco Machinery once again succeeded in completing the debugging, delivery and acceptance appraisal of another ZJ116 unit, and set at Qingdao Cigarette Factory a record of installing and debugging a home-manufactured ultrahigh speed cigarette rolling and tipping unit within a shortest cycle.

From July 30 to August 1, the second ZJ116 unit underwent a three-day process of operation for acceptance appraisal at the cigarette tipping and packing workshop of Qingdao Cigarette Factory. During the period of acceptance appraisal, the general effective operation rate of the new ZJ116 unit reached a high of 97.58 percent in measured data, an increase of 1l28 percent over the level of 96.30 percent measured in the acceptance appraisal of the first ZJ 116 unit. The technicians installing the new ZJ116 unit set a record of uninterrupted operation of the unit for nearly five hours in the debugging of a home-manufactured ultrahigh speed cigarette rolling and tipping unit.

In the acceptance appraisal of the new ZJ116 unit, the physical indexes and product quality in sample inspection both exceeded the corresponding internal control standards of the enterprise. As the acceptance appraisal met all the relevant requirements, the new ZJ116 unit smoothly passed the acceptance appraisal.

The new ZJ116 unit was carried into the site of installation on May 11. The technicians spent only seven days completing the placement, initial test of the whole set, single-unit operation and other preparatory work, making the new ZJ 116 unit compatible for docking unit with cigarette packing machinery.

On May 18, the new ZJ116 unit formally started the process of undergoing debugging in docking with cigarette packing machinery. On August 1, the whole process of acceptance appraisal was smoothly completed. With 65 effective working days used, the technicians installing the new ZJ116 unit set a record of uninterrupted operation of the unit for nearly five hours in the debugging of a home-manufactured ultrahigh speed cigarette rolling and tipping unit.

In 2013, Changde Tobacco Machinery formulated the Scheme for Guaranteeing Service for ZJ116 Ultrahigh Speed Cigarette Rolling and Tipping Units. All departments of Changde Tobacco Machinery have strictly and earnestly implemented the scheme, to provide users with technical equipment support and service guarantee, and to ensure smooth presentation of ZJ116 units to the market.

In June 2013, Qingdao Cigarette Factory purchased the first ZJ116 unit from Changde Tobacco Machinery. Afterwards, Changde Tobacco Machinery sent a debugging team led by senior operation technician Xie Wenping to Qingdao Cigarette Factory. The debugging team spent only 45 days ensuring full-speed operation of the first ZJ116 unit at a rate of 16,000 cigarettes per minute, realizing the target of trial production by "three shifts", and creating the Qingdao Model of installing and debugging home-manufactured ultrahigh speed cigarette rolling and tipping units.
