China: Certification Test of First Batch of Technicians with Tobacco Industry Completed

Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province has recently fulfilled the assignment to conduct certification test of a first batch of nine technicians from tobacco manufacturing enterprises for the year 2014, to determine their professional technical ability to repair tobacco machinery equipment.

In accordance with the spirit of the 2014 Notice (No. 3) on National Professional Qualification Appraisal for the Tobacco Industry and Document No. 4 [2014] of the National Tobacco Office on Vocational Training, Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. organized on July 14-18 the certification test of the first batch of technicians from tobacco manufacturing enterprises for the year 2014, to determine their professional technical ability to repair tobacco machinery equipment, smoothly completing the appraisal of practical operation of all the required modules by the technicians.

The nine technicians covered by the certification test this time were from China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Jiangsu Industrial Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Hebei Industrial Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Anhuii Industrial Co., Ltd., China Tobacco Guangxi Industrial Co., Ltd., Hongta Liaoning Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Tobacco Group.

In the certification test, seven of the nine technicians met the standards required of technicians.

At a summing-up meeting after the certification test, the chief of the appraisal panel and supervisors reported the scores won by the technicians and the up-to-standard rate among them, and reminded the technicians of where they need to make improvement in practical operation of modules.

Leaders from the appraisal center of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration and experts with the appraisal panel both made relatively high comments on the certification test conducted by Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd.

Secretary Qin Jiyu of the Communist Party Committee at Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. attended the summing-up meeting and delivered a speech. He said that in future, Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. will, under guidance by the appraisal center of the STMA, exert all efforts to extend cooperation in well handling the various work for certification tests to be administered later on, to practically raise the quality of the work of certification test.
