China: Prototype of New Cigarette Making Machine Passes Acceptance Test Source from: Changde Tobacco Machinery 07/15/2014 ![]() The prototype of a new cigarette rolling and tipping machine independently developed and manufactured by Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province -- known as ZJ118 -- passed a acceptance test at Xuchang Cigarette Factory in central China's Henan Province on June 27, after two months of test-run and debugging there. The ZJ118 prototype was transported to Xuchang Cigarette Factory in April 2014. As a result of careful organization by the departments concerned and close cooperation by Xuchang Cigarette Factory, the prototype, with its brand-new electronic control system, noise-reduction technology and industrial design with a rational layout, showed unique advantages in terms of stability, controllability, maintenance, energy conservation, noise reduction, the extent of automation, etc. In a period of less than one month, the various physical indexes of cigarettes made with the ZJ118 prototype including the SD value, circularity and loose ends of cigarettes all reached the national cigarette quality testing standards. In a test run of three consecutive shifts of six hours each, the effective operation rate of the prototype reached a high of 96.6 percent. The smooth passing of the acceptance test of the ZJ118 prototype will contribute to laying a solid foundation for further improving the quality of products, satisfying the demand of customers and strengthening market promotion of the ZJ118 cigarette rolling and tipping machine. With the completion of the acceptance test of the prototype of the ZJ118 cigarette rolling and tipping machine that it has independently developed on the basis integrated innovation, Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. has taken a substantial step in leading the medium-speed cigarette making machinery market.
