<strong>China: Shanghai Tobacco Group Successfully Developed Lined Paper Without Aluminum</strong>

Technology center of Shanghai Tobacco Group has accomplished the project of developing lined paper without aluminum, and the new product has been formally put into use.

With the development of the society progress, and the continuous improvement of environmental protection consciousness, green, pollution-free and biodegradable packaging materials has become the mainstream. At present, Shanghai Tobacco Group mainly used two kinds cigarette lined paper: the compound aluminum foil lined paper and straight plating aluminum foil lined paper, the former is difficult to degrade, and the latter needs higher energy consumption in the production process.

So, the technology center specially developed a kind of brand-new lined paper without aluminum inside, adopted new coating technology and manufacturing process, to achieve environmental requirements including lower energy consumption during paper production, pollution-free, easily degradable paper after discarded, etc. At present, the product has been used in "Double Happiness" (Platinum Style) brand. The product fully embodies the green environmental protection and social responsibility consciousness during design products of Shanghai Tobacco Group, at the same time plays a positive role on leading the new technology trend.
