<strong>China: Prototype of New Cigarette Making Unit Passes Internal Design Verification</strong>

The prototype of a new cigarette rolling and tipping unit independently developed by Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province, known as ZJ118, has smoothly passed an internal design verification and review at a ceremony held in the company recently.

Before the ceremony, a panel of experts invited to perform the design verification and review observed the outlook, stability of operation, etc of the prototype at the scene.

At the ceremony, the taskforce designated to execute the project of developing ZJ118 introduced to the panel of experts the basic situation of development of the new cigarette making unit, while the quality inspection department of the company reported the results of testing for the design verification.

The panel of experts sufficiently expressed opinions on the prototype, and unanimously gave the following consideration:
The prototype is of a rational layout, is highly automatic, has a low noise level at 81.7 Decibels, and is of a beautiful outlook, with normality of all functions. The functional indexes of the prototype have reached the requirement of the design assignment of the project. The prototype has met the delivery standards.

On the basis of the consideration, the panel of experts agreed that the prototype had passed the internal design verification and review at the company, and that the prototype can be delivered to users for test-run in its development in a next stage.

With a designed maximum cigarette making speed of 8,000 cigarettes per minute, ZJ118 is a new type of cigarette rolling and tipping unit independently developed by Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. on the basis of ZJ112. ZJ118 adopts a brand-new electronic control system and noise reduction technologies, and a new design of appearance modeling. It is relatively greatly superior to the previous generation of cigarette making units in terms of stability, controllability, maintenance, energy conservation, noise reduction, the extent of automation, etc. The development and production of ZJ118 will effectively meet the market demand and further enrich the line of cigarette rolling and tipping machinery made in China.
