<strong>China: Changde Tobacco Machinery Meets on Reform, Development</strong> Source from: Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. 01/22/2014 ![]() Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province held the second meeting of its Third Conference of Workers and Staffers (Members) on January 9-10 to discuss reform and development of the enterprise, with the participation of 120 formal deputies and 29 deputies as observers. Presided over by Trade Union Chairman Yang Xin'an, the meeting heard and reviewed 15 exclusive reports, including the general manager's work report titled by Integration of Positive Energy for Innovation and Development and Realization of New Breakthrough in Systemic Transformation and Upgrading given by Board of Directors Chairman and General Manager Zhou Shiwei, and the Trade Union work report titled Protection of the Rights and Interests of Workers and Staffers and Promotion of Development of the Enterprise given by Trade Union Chairman Yang Xin'an. The meeting also adopted eight draft resolutions by vote. The meeting pointed out that in 2014, Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. will deepen its reform on a full scale, and will strive to promote its systemic transformation and adjustment, in efforts to promote in an in-depth way implementation of the 2011-2015 five-year development strategy planning. Meanwhile, the meeting proposed that the working policy of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. for 2014 is to introduce lean management on a full scale and break bottlenecks against development, with systemic transformation and development in dominance, and with creation of first-rate quality control systems as a opportunity, to lay a solid foundation for systemic transformation and upgrading of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. During the meeting, a ceremony was held to honor the three model collectives, two model subcompanies, nine model workers and staffers, six quality control pacesetters, 50 outstanding workers and staffers, 113 model Trade Union members, four model working teams and four "Quintuple-A" outstanding performance programs chosen for the year 2013, with the issuance of bonuses and credentials of honor at the scene.
