China: Technological Innovation Projects by Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Pass Appraisal

Three technological innovation projects executed by Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in central China's Henan Province all passed a stringent appraisal for technical acceptance at a workshop for appraising projects of technological development held in Nantong City in east China's Jiangsu Province under the auspices of China Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. on October 23.

The three projects are the project of Development of Fully Automatic Cigarette Case Packing and Sealing Machines, the project of Development of Heating, Humidifying and Mildly Processing Equipment of Waste Cigarette Disposal Machines and the project of Development of Filter Tip Encasing Machines.

The three projects were all included into the 2009 plan for scientific research and technological development of tobacco machinery. After completion of manufacturing of prototypes, the machines successively passed test-run by users, and all won positive comments from users.

Before the workshop was held, three panels of testing experts respectively conducted on-site test of the YP19 Fully Automatic Cigarette Case Packing and Sealing Machine, the FY36 Waste Cigarette Disposal Machine and the YJ36 Filter Tip Encasing Machine at Fuling Cigarette Factory, Chengcheng Cigarette Factory and Nantong Filter Tip Company, to find out that the rate of effective operation of the three machines respectively reached 98.4 percent, 100 percent and 100 percent.

The workshop was attended by more than 40 people including relevant leaders and personnel from the technological cooperation department of China Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and China Tobacco Machinery Technology Center, leaders and experts from some cigarette making enterprises and filter tip production enterprises, representatives from users, and leaders and relevant personnel from Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd.
