<strong>China: Changde Tobacco Machinery Rewarded for QC Achievements</strong>

Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in Changde City of south central China's Hunan Province has recently been rewarded for its three achievements in quality control (QC) at a ceremony held by China Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd.

On October 22-24, China Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. held in Changde City a workshop to promulgate achievements made by QC groups with the tobacco machinery manufacturing sector of the tobacco industry of China in the year 2012.

A total of 16 tobacco machinery products manufacturing enterprises led by the four major tobacco machinery manufacturers sent 26 QC achievements to the workshop for promulgation and technological exchange.

In accordance with the Specific Rules for Appraising and Grading Achievements in Activities Conducted by QC Groups With the Tobacco Machinery Manufacturing Sector of China, the appraising committee appraised and graded the achievements sent to the workshop, and decided to issue three Grade One prizes, eight Grade Two prizes, nine Grade Three prizes and six prizes for excellent performance.

For Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd., it sent three achievements to the workshop and all the three won prizes. Specifically, the achievement of "reducing noises from the ZJ117 cigarette rolling and tipping unit" made by the QC group of the research institute of the company won a Grade One prize; the achievement of "solving hard technological problems in domestic production of parts and components of the ZJ116 cigarette rolling and tipping unit" made by the GC group of the Production Technology Department of the company won a Grade Two prize; and the achievement of "increasing the effect of training about spider arms" made by the GC group of the Marketing Department of the company won a Grade Three prize.
