<strong>China: CTMG Holds Meeting on Development of Technology Sub-centers</strong>

China Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (CTMG) held in Changde City of south central China's Hunan Province on August 15-16 a meeting on the development of cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-centers of Chinese tobacco machinery manufacturers, in efforts to step up establishment of super technology centers and promote substantial operation of cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-centers.

The meeting was chaired by Director Fan Siqi of the Technology Department of the CTMG, with the participation of leaders and relevant personnel of the relevant departments and offices and the technology center of the CTMG and Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. CTMG Deputy General Manager Qu Wei was present at the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Lu Fangxia, deputy general manager of Changhde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. and the cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-center of the company, briefed the participants in the meeting on the results of execution of research and development projects undertaken by the cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-center in the first half of 2013, the situation of internal construction of the sub-center, results of promotion of establishment of platforms for collaboration among different regions, the basic guidelines on serialization of products of the sub-center in specialized fields, completeness of technology of the sub-center, etc.

Deputy Director Li Mei of the Technology Department of the CTMG read out the Opinions on Executing Promotion of Construction of Super Technology Centers. Deputy General Manager Qu Wei of the CTMG delivered an important speech at the meeting.

In the speech, Qu Wei raised corresponding requirements for the current work of construction of cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-centers, and particularly emphasized the importance of effective integration of technological resources and promotion of construction of super technology centers by the CTMG.

Meanwhile, Qu Wei required the cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-centers of all tobacco machinery manufacturing enterprises to improve their operation mechanisms and step up their substantial operation in accordance with the definition of their duty.

The meeting also discussed the product planning and technological completeness of cigarette rolling and joining technology sub-centers. With sufficient preparation and heated discussion by participants, the meeting achieved the desired results. Enditem
