UK: Innovia to Boost BOPP Capacity 10 per cent

Innovia Films, a leading supplier of packaging films to the tobacco industry, will raise its Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film capacity 10 per cent by 2015, the company said.

Increased BOPP capacity is part of a GBP 20 million (EUR 23.4 million) project that will include installation of a gas turbine to improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint by 20 per cent for all products made at the Wigton site in northwest England, Innovia said.

Additional capacity will help research and development teams accelerate product and market-development introductions, the company said. Enditem
