China National Tobacco Corporation Staff Continuing Education Institute in north China's Zhengzhou City and Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province signed on July 27 an agreement on cooperation in operating continuing education of staff members of manufacturing enterprises of China's tobacco industry.

Under the agreement, a base for practical training under China National Tobacco Corporation Staff Continuing Education Institute will be established at the premises of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd.

Those attending the signing and nameplate conferring ceremony included leaders of China National Tobacco Corporation Staff Continuing Education Institute, leaders of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd., trainees attending a tobacco machinery technicians continuing education program and representatives from the relevant departments of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd.

Addressing the ceremony, a leader of China National Tobacco Corporation Staff Continuing Education Institute expounded on the functional definition of the institute and the great significance of the bilateral cooperation in establishing the base for practical training, expressing the belief that the base – in the capacity of a major facility for training highly skilled human resources to develop their practical operation capability and promote professional quality of staff members – will play important roles in practical exercises by professional teachers, research for application, technological development, promotion of new technologies, etc.

Also speaking at the ceremony, a leader of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. introduced the specific efforts made by the company to give play to its advantages in the capacity of a leading tobacco machinery manufacturing enterprise in China, to strengthen development of both the hardware and software environments, to improve its practical operation and training systems, and to keep providing tobacco manufacturing enterprises with highly capable and highly skilled human resources that are of a high comprehensive professional quality and great development potential.

At the same time, the leader pointed out that under guidance by China National Tobacco Corporation Staff Continuing Education Institute, Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. will further improve the model of bilateral cooperation in operating continuing education and the model of development of skilled human resources, to promote the quality of highly skilled human resources by the tobacco industry, to join hands with cooperation partners in establishing a cooperation model based on bilateral cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises, combination between the manufacturing sector and the academia, mutual complementation of advantages and sharing of resources, and to make due contribution to developing more and more skilled human resources.
