China: Project of Leaf Tobacco Warehouse Construction Passes Demonstration

The project of construction of Fuling Central Leaf Tobacco Warehouse of Chongqing Tobacco Industry Co. of China Tobacco Chuanyu Industrial Co., Ltd. in southwest China has passed a demonstration by a panel of experts recently, paving the way for its construction in the near future.

On July 23-24, Chongqing Tobacco Industry Co. held a meeting in Fuling District to have the project of construction of Fuling Central Leaf Tobacco Warehouse demonstrated by the panel of experts organized by Wang Qing, chief of the Investment Division of the Planning Department of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA).

The panel of experts conducting the demonstration were from Xiamen Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd., Anhui Provincial Branch of China National Tobacco Corporation, Anhui Huahuan Tobacco International Co., Ltd., Hongta Tobacco Group and HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group.

As a result, the project of construction of Fuling Central Leaf Tobacco Warehouse smoothly passed the demonstration.

It was reported that Fuling Central Leaf Tobacco Warehouse will have a designed annual leaf tobacco alcoholization capacity of 1.2 million dan (60,000 tons). The project will cover a floor space of about 300 mu (20 hectares), with the total construction area expected to reach 117,500 square meters. The total investment in the project is estimated at 750.23 million yuan (121 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
