China: Changde Tobacco Machinery Co. Starts Construction of New Complex Workshop Building

Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province held a ceremony on May 31 to mark the start of construction of its Complex Workshop Building No. 4 in the execution of the first phase of its current project of technological transformation, which is undertaken by Hunan Astronautic Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.

Attending the ceremony were relevant leaders of Changde City Government, Wuling District Government and Hucheng Township Government in the local region, and representatives from the relevant construction, designing, supervision and prospecting institutions, etc.

Deputy Superintendent Gao Xuzhou of the Technological Transformation Direction Department of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. led the entire staff of the department to attend the ceremony.

Located in a newly expropriated area in the eastern part of the project of technological transformation on the eastern side of Changgeng Road in Changde City, Complex Workshop Building No. 4 will cover an area of 10,472 square meters, with a construction area of 11,043.8 square meters, and with a cornice height of 9 meters. The principal part of Complex Workshop Building No. 4 will comprise single-layer door-type steel structure workshops and two-layer frame structure auxiliary workshops. The building boasts three independent reinforced concrete foundations with a 24-meter span, with an eight-meter column space, and with H-type welded solid-web steel columns and steel beams.

The period of construction of the complex workshop building under the construction for construction is 170 days.

Completion of construction of Complex Workshop Building No. 4 will contribute to solving the problem of shortage of housing for production on the part of the company. The start of construction of Complex Workshop Building No. 4 also signifies full-scale start of the five principal parts of the current project of technological transformation of Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd.
