Cartonal also supplies product specially designed for cigarette soft-packs, engineered solely for this purpose, the paper being of an importance beyond its cost – after all, although it is only some 25% of the cost, if it doesn't perform, it would ruin the whole product. Another speciality of the company is release base paper, which is produced to a high level of consistency to ensure an even thickness – vital for labelling in the food and pharmaceutical businesses where it is mainly supplied.
