Malaysia: Parkside Flexibles Celebrates 3rd Year Anniversary in Kuala Lumpur

The site was originally opened in March 2010 by the Malaysian Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, Dato Mukriz Matathir. This was Parkside's first overseas production facility. With state of the art laminating and coating equipment, the site has moved from strength to strength, becoming a pivotal part of the Parkside business, allowing greater strategic alignment with our customers.

The plant, strategically placed in Kuala Lumpur allows Parkside to service its customers in the Asia Pacific region providing a local supply chain delivering shorter lead times significantly improving service levels to customers in the region. Parkside pride themselves on their service and quality record, which for 2012 was in excess of 99 per cent, well above the industry standard.

The investment in Asia is likely to be the first of many as Parkside look to replicate the model elsewhere in the world. "Our success in Malaysia has given us the perfect blue print to open new facilities worldwide", says Development Director Chris Kozlik "and we continually look for new development opportunities across the globe".

Further investment is currently being considered for the Kuala Lumpur plant later this year which demonstrates Parkside's commitment to the region and ensures the high standards for quality and service continue to be maintained for the future. Enditem
