<strong>China: HongyunHonghe Holds Symposium on Cyclic Use of Cigarette Packaging Cases</strong>

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province – the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer – held on May 24 a symposium on the recycling of cigarette packaging cases for reuse, with the participation of HongyunHonghe leaders Wu Yi and Feng Bin, chief leaders of all production factories of HongyunHonghe in Yunnan, and also leaders of the relevant centers, departments and offices of HongyunHonghe.

At the symposium, HongyunHonghe Deputy CEO Feng Bin conveyed the spirits of recent speeches delivered by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. General Manager Zhu Shaoming and Deputy General Manager Gao Xingzhi on the work of logistics of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., and Chief Inspector Ming Wenhu of the Logistics Center of HongyunHonghe reported the situation of the relevant work.

Leaders from HongyunHonghe's production factories in Yunnan, including Director Fan Xiao of Kunming Cigarette Factory, Director Xu Yongming of Honghe Cigarette Factory and Director Xiao Yaze of Huize Cigarette Factory, reported preparations for the cycling of cigarette packaging cases for reuse.

In an address delivered at the meeting, HongyunHonghe CEO Wu Yi pointed out that the recycling of cigarette packaging cases for reuse is a major environment-friendly and low-carbon working approach, and that HongyunHonghe, in the capacity of an enterprise designated to operate pilot projects hereof, showcase its success in cyclic use of cigarette packaging cases at the on-the-spot meeting on logistics of the tobacco industry scheduled for September.

Wu Yi expressed the hope that HongyunHonghe, from the top to the bottom levels, will make concerted efforts to promote the work of recycling cigarette packaging cases for reuse by HongyunHonghe to a higher level. Enditem
