US: Xikar Vitara Lighter

Among a slew of new designs Xikar is set to debut this year is the Vitara, a solidly built double-torch lighter that makes sparking large-ring cigars a breeze, and features a built-in punch cutter, too. The Vitara, which was first seen at this past summer's IPCPR trade show, is ignited by a slide ignition button located on the side of the body. Ignition is smooth and requires just enough pressure from the thumb that the flame won't get accidentally triggered in a pocket or bag. Additionally, a welcomed protective cap flips up to protect the thumb from the torch flames. Beneath the slide ignition is a sturdy 7-mm punch cutter that flips out from the body. The punch is sharp and large enough to easily pierce any size cigar, including 60 ring gauge monsters. To ease clean up, when the cutter folds back onto the body, a plastic nub knocks out the circle of cut tobacco. Opposite the punch is a handy fuel window, and the bottom of the lighter sports an oversized flame-adjustment valve that's helpful. Overall, the Vitara is a good buy for someone looking to invest in a quality, dependable lighter that can ease the process of lighting up big-ring cigars. The lighter costs about $70 and comes in five finishes: G2, gunmetal, pearl, black and brushed silver. Enditem
