China: Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co. Holds Symposium on Technological Exchange

Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in Qinhuangdao City of north China's Hebei Province - a leading Chinese tobacco machinery manufacturer - held in Qinhuangdao City recently a symposium on the exchange of technologies for "characteristic technical equipment for leaf tobacco threshing and redrying", in efforts to boost cooperation and exchange with advanced foreign tobacco machinery manufacturers. The more than 40 dignitaries attending the meeting included representatives from the manufacturing enterprises affiliated to China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., representatives from Evans MacTavish Agricraft, Inc. and Proctor, Director Fan Siqi of the Technology Department and Deputy Director Mao Jun of the Marketing Department of China Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Board of Directors and General Manager Guo Dongqing and other leaders of Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd., and relevant leaders of the Marketing Department and Technology Center of Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. In an address delivered at the meeting, Guo Dongqing specifically pointed out that Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. will continue to take the path of independent innovation, actively launch cooperation and exchange with advanced foreign tobacco machinery manufacturers, genuinely assume the roles "technological support" and "technological guarantee", fully meet the individualized demand of both leaf tobacco producers and cigarette makers, and strive to make greater contributions to the development of "Chinese-style cigarettes". Speaking on the same occasion, Fan Siqi pointed out that the current meeting was a major gathering of leading Chinese tobacco machinery manufacturers, in which they jointly discussed the development of cutting edge leaf tobacco threshing and redrying technologies, techniques and equipment. "There are great origins for our cooperation with Evans MacTavish Agricraft, Inc. and Proctor, and there have already been typical cases of successful cooperation to this effect. We hope that our future cooperation will become more extensive and more in-depth, and that we will jointly present new technologies and new products that will be in the lead internationally, to satisfy the demand for developing characteristic technologies for producing Chinese-style cigarettes," he said. Also speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director Dai Hongxi of the Economic Operation Department of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., on behalf of China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd., briefed on the characteristic demand for leaf tobacco threshing and redrying technologies. Qi Haitao, assistant to the director of the Technology Center of Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. and chief of the Leaf Tobacco Threshing and Redrying Section of the company, systematically introduced to the participants the joint-venture research and development of leaf tobacco threshing and redrying technologies and equipment by Qinhuangdao Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. Meanwhile, the representatives from Evans MacTavish Agricraft, Inc. and Proctor respectively introduced the situation of their companies.
