China: Plug Forming Unit Developed by Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Co. Passes Quality Assessment

The ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit developed and manufactured by Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in north central China’s Henan Province passed stringent quality assessment conducted on June 19-21 by a panel of experts sent by China Tobacco Machinery Group, paving the way for mass production of this newly developed cigarette plug forming unit in future.

In conducting the quality assessment, the panel of experts inspected two randomly taken samples of the ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit to check their visual quality, assembly, commissioning quality, general performance, etc., and randomly checked 50 types of spare parts and components to the tune of 511 items, with the up-to-standard rate reaching 90.6 percent. As the ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit does not have Category A parts and components, the panel of experts randomly inspected eight types of important Category B parts and components to the tune of 87 items, with the up-to-standard rate reaching 96.5 percent. The panel of experts conducted the work of quality assessment of the ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit in accordance with the relevant processes involved in the realization of the unit, the Measures for Inspection over Quality Control Systems Tobacco Machinery Manufacturing Enterprises and the relevant laws and regulations, with GB/T19001-2008 standards as the leading guideline. Adopting the method of sample inspection, the panel of experts assessed the quality control system of the ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit in the aspects of determination of customer demands, customer service, technology management, control over designing and development, control over production processes, protection of products, monitoring and measurement of products, control over monitoring and measurement equipment, control over sub-standard products, improvement, etc. In completing the quality assessment, the panel of experts drew the conclusion that the quality control system of Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. is in normal operation, which provides guarantee for stable production of the ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit meeting the demand of customers. It said that the ZL 26C cigarette fiber filter plug forming unit manufactured by Xuchang Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. operates normally, meets the requirement of designing, and meets the quality requirements.
