Saueressig's New Embossing Skills on Show

Saueressig has added to its plant at Vreden, Germany, a Digilas direct embossing machine. According to a Saueressig press note, the Digilas Embossing-Direct machine built by Schepers, also of Vreden, comprises a multi-functional laser system that is able to create complex, multi-stage structures, fully automatically, in 2D and 3D modes. And the removal of material is said to take place evenly over the whole surface, so that the resulting structure is of the highest quality. The Digilas system's high performance laser system allows the direct structuring of different materials, such as copper, aluminium or steel. And the system is said to shorten processing and service times. "This investment is another step to reinforce the global competitive position, and it underlines Saueressig's innovative power," said Stephan Lammers, global manager packaging. Meanwhile, Saueressig is showing at the Drupa fair at Duesseldorf the first samples of sleeves processed on the new machine. Saueressig is exhibiting at the fair's booth C15, hall 3, from May 3 to 16. Enditem
