Changde Cigarette Factory Maintains Status as High- And New Technology Enterprise

Changde Cigarette Factory in south central China's Hunan Province - a key Chinese tobacco manufacturing enterprise - has recently passed government review for renewal of its status as a high and new technology enterprise, enabling it to continue enjoying preferential taxation policy treatment over the next the years.

On March 13, Changde Cigarette Factory received a notice jointly issued by Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department and other competent government agencies on renewal of the status of 390 local enterprises as high and new technology enterprises, including Changde Cigarette Factory. At the same time, it also received a renewed certificate of high and new technology enterprises. According to the relevant taxation policies of the State on high and new technology enterprises, Changde Cigarette Factory will be entitled to continue enjoying preferential taxation policy treatment as a high and new technology enterprise consecutively in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as a result of passing the government review this time.
