Investigations on the past of an unusually old box of Havanas.
Robert Hebenstreit, a German blogger responsible for the Montehiba page, has drawn attention to an extremely rare box of Sol cigars. Min Ron Nee, the authority in the field of Havana cigars, gave him the box to investigate.

"This minor cigar project has developed into a combination of treasure quest, jigsaw puzzle and the proverbial search for a needle in a haystack," was his comment in his second blog entry. His first estimates suggest that these were the oldest cigars he had ever put his hands on. In the meantime, his investigations indicate that they were produced between 1931 and 1940.
The sealed pre-Castro box and the printer company provide some indications; however, the fact that even in Cuba there is hardly any information about old cigars is not making the investigation any easier.
In the meantime, the box has been opened and we are looking forward to an article promised to us by Robert Hebenstreit on the box and its cigars in our next issue. There will also be a video of the opening of the box in the blog and on our homepage. The excitement mounts! Enditem
