2011 Calendar Proves There's No Sell-by Date on Art

Iggesund Paperboard is auctioning the two remaining copies of a limited edition, handmade 2011 calendar to raise money for UNICEF Sweden. All proceeds from the eBay sale will go to UNICEF Sweden and its work with children in need. KPMG Sweden, the Swedish office of the international auditing group, will ensure that the funds received are allocated properly. Iggesund, a member of Sweden's Holmen Group, had had printed and handmade 100 copies of a 60x86 cm wall calendar using only its Invercote paperboard, and now only two copies remain. "It's a very exclusive calendar that's not just a regular calendar; it's a masterpiece as well," said Björn Kvick, president of Iggesund Paperboard. Nine of the 12 featured images were shot by Raya Meerzoumen, a New York-based fashion photographer, while the remaining three images were taken by Tobias Regell/Camera Link, Stockholm. 'The bespoke 2011 calendar was delivered to a select group of graphic and packaging enthusiasts around the world who regularly use Invercote to capture the emotional side of their top-end packaged goods,' Iggesund said in a press note. 'The Invercote brand is all about making emotional connections - it appeals to the senses and touches you, just like this calendar. 'The calendar, which showcases high-end printing, foiling, die-cutting and creasing techniques, consists of a series of striking photos of women.' Enditem
