Filtrona Filter Products' Thailand operation, Filthai, has moved to a custom built facility in Bangkok.

"The enhanced operational capability of the new facility increases Filthai's ability to respond to developments in the tobacco market and enables us to provide our customers in Asia with an even better service," said Filtrona's managing director, PT Sreekumar.
"The new facility offers customers a highly efficient source of filter products, supported by Filtrona's technical knowledge and extensive experience in the Asia region."
The fully air-conditioned, ISO 9000 standard factory has been designed for optimum machine operation, and the facility includes a 2,500 m2 warehouse and laboratory.
Meanwhile, to meet the growing demand for filter products, Filthai is embarking on a three year program of upgrades and machinery investment, with space set aside for the installation of an additional five machines. It is also mounting a recruitment drive.
Filthai produces a range of standard mono acetate, flavored, CPF and dual filters, as well as specialized shaped filters in multiple segment formats that can be tailored to meet cigarette manufacturers' needs.
Work on filter innovations will be undertaken in close conjunction with the Filtrona Regional Development Centre based in Indonesia. Enditem
