High-level Hauni Delegation Visits Cigarette Factory in East China

A high-level delegation from Hauni of Germany, led by deputy CEO Joerg Wittek, visited Xuzhou Cigarette Factory of Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation in east China's Jiangsu Province on August 26, to check operation of the Protos M5 cigarette making units imported from Hauni, and to hold talks on further bilateral technological cooperation.

Receiving the Hauni delegation, Xuzhou Cigarette Factory Executive Deputy Director Qiang Qing affirmed that the four Protos M5 cigarette making units at Xuzhou Cigarette Factory reached relatively high levels in terms of the output, product quality, raw materials consumption, etc, with their stable performance. According to the results of debugging, delivery inspection and operation of the cigarette making units, the Hauni delegation and Xuzhou Cigarette Factory leaders exchanged views on further technological cooperation between the two sides. Leaders of Xuzhou Cigarette Factory specifically expressed the hope that Hauni would be more swift and complete in dispatching engineers and in providing service and equipment. They expected to have better ways of improving the cigarette making units in terms of designing, assembly and use of parts and components. They also expressed the wish that there will be timely settlement of the problems left over in the memorandum of understanding on the delivery inspection of the four cigarette making units, and the common problems in operation of several units during the period of extended warranty. In efforts to practically and effectively promote to a higher level the proficiency of the human resources designated to operate and repair the Protos M5 cigarette making units at Xuzhou Cigarette Factory, the two sides also extensively exchanged views on strengthening skills training.
