Treofan Has New MD And CEO

The Treofan Group's advisory board has appointed Giovanni Canetta as the managing director and CEO of the group in place of Carlo Ranucci, who has stepped down for personal reasons. Ranucci has agreed to ensure a smooth transition of his functions to Canetta, who has been the representative of Management & Capitali SpA, one of Treofan's major shareholders, a role that has meant his working closely with Ranucci for the past two years. "We thank Carlo for the excellent work performed during the past years", said Stefan Pfander, chairman of the advisory board. "I see a great future for the company and am convinced that the management team will continue to translate Treofan's superior technology into long-term success in the marketplace." A Treofan press note said that Ranucci had successfully managed the company through a crisis and had been instrumental in restructuring the company.
