GCH International Inc. has appointed Curtis Richards to serve as president and chief executive officer. Richards officially assumed his post at the company's Louisville, Kentucky, USA, headquarters on Dec. 6, 2010. A native of Lebanon, Kentucky, Richards has been involved in numerous entrepreneurial and consulting ventures throughout his career. Most recently, he served as an independent consultant to multiple small and mid-sized businesses. GCH International is a leader in custom machine and metal fabrication. With roots stretching back to 1829 and, GCH is currently comprised of three companies: Griffin & Company, Cardwell UK Ltd., and Harpring Inc. The companies' primary focus is on providing customers with solutions to match their needs in areas such as material handling and factory automation, food-grade metal production, and tobacco processing equipment and systems.
