Polynt Ups Triacetin Production

Polynt UK, a leading producer of triacetin, will increase the nameplate production capacity of its Cheddleton plant to 25 kilotons per year from 15 kilotons per year. The increase, which will be realized in 2011, will be achieved by a substantial process improvement developed by the Polynt Group's research and development department in Italy and by installation and implementation of minor equipment. The site in Italy will continue producing triacetin to ensure extra capacity for contingency reasons. Enditem
