Delegation of China Tobacco Industry Development Center Inspects HongyunHonghe

A high-level delegation from China Tobacco Industry Development Center, led by its Communist Party group Secretary and General Manager Zhang Jianjun and Deputy General Manager Li Zenglin, inspected HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on November 24, exchanging views with HongyunHonghe leaders on management, production and marketing. During the inspection, the delegation held talks with HongyunHonghe Board of Directors Chairman Yao Qingyan, CEO Wu Yi and Assistant to the CEO Dai Wei, to exchange views on production, operation, internal management, marketing, etc of Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. - both subsidiaries of HongyunHonghe in north China. Zhang Jianyun said that in the 2006-2010 five-year period, China Tobacco Industry Development Center and HongyunHonghe has maintained a favorable relationship of cooperation, that internal management, production technology and economic efficiency of both Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. has been obviously promoted, and that the current inspection was mainly intended to learn HongyunHonghe's guidelines and plans for the development of Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. in the 2011-2015 five-year period. Speaking at the talks, Wu Yi briefed the guests on fulfillment of all economic targets by HongyunHonghe in 2010, the "331" brands development target of HongyunHonghe, and the guidelines and plans for ensuring realization of sustainable development of Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. (Under the "331" brands development target, HongyunHonghe will strive to increase the annual output of its competitive Yunyan and Honghe cigarette brands each to 3 million cases (150 billion cigarettes), with the annual total of single-brand sales income reaching 100 billion yuan (14.7 billion U.S. dollars), by the year 2015, in sufficiently embodying the spirit of the STMA's guideline of "promoting cigarette production to a higher level".) Also speaking at the talks, Zhang Jianjun said that China Tobacco Industry Development Center is fully confident in the development of HongyunHonghe, and that China Tobacco Industry Development Center will always be responsible for supporting the development of HongyunHonghe. He expressed the hope that Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. will closely depend on HongyunHonghe, strengthen contacts with local governments, strive to develop powerful and big competitive cigarette brands, and ensure realization of sustainable, steady and healthy business development. Speaking on the same occasion, Yao Qingyan emphatically expressed the hope that both Shanxi Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Kunming Tobacco Co., Ltd. will closely cooperate with the local governments in their respective regions, increase contacts with local tobacco companies, strengthen internal management, effectively reform the structure of resources, strive to maintain the existing market shares taken by HongyunHonghe in their local regions, and manage to improve the structure of their cigarette products.
