ITM Opens Asia Service Center

ITM has opened a service center for Asia in Malaysia. The company says this will bring after-sales support to its customers in the region up to the quality level that is expected. While the market for cigarettes in Europe and North America is declining, the market in the Far East is growing quickly. With population growth and increases in average income, the growth of the Asian tobacco markets is expected to continue into the future. This has caused a gradual move of the global tobacco business towards the region, with tobacco companies building new production facilities and improving existing ones. Local and national industries too are modernizing and increasing production to meet demand. By opening the new Asia service center,spares and after-sales services are brought to the doorstep of Asian customers.This removes the delays inevitable across time zones and provides customers with faster support than was previously available. The new Asia Service Center is located strategically in the region, with excellent international travel connections. More importantly, most employees at the Asia Service Center are natives from the region. This minimizes cultural differences and bridges language gaps. In addition to English, employees speak a variety of Asian languages, including Malay, Indonesian, Hokien, Cantonese, Mandarin and others.
