ITM Opens Filter Technology Center

ITM is celebrating the completion of its Filter Technology Center with a series of one-day open house events from May 17-27 in Radom, Poland. Themed "The Filter of Tomorrow," the open house will focus on the demand for ever-more sophisticated filters and increased flexibility in production. ITM will show its full production line for multi-segment filters, which includes the Polaris-C charcoal filter maker, the MoniQ filter sampling system, the Gemini tray filler, the Taurus C and Gemini unloaders, the Pulsar Fifo filter reservoir and the Solaris multi-filter combiner. Among other features, ITM will demonstrate how changes between filter production runs can be made in less than half an hour, and how the Gemini compartment tray handling system can help optimize filter rod logistics and distribution. In addition, the company will show the CSI automatic rod storage and the Flexlink mass-flow rod transportation systems. ITM will also take the opportunity to demonstrate some of its non-filter equipment, including the Atlas tobacco cutter, the Delphi tobacco reclaimer, the Flexible Tobacco Feeding System, and the FDP pouch packing and a high speed manipulator. ITM Poland was established in 1991. Today, the company has 450 employees who are devoted to creating new equipment for primary and secondary machinery. At its new Filter Technology, the company will be developing and manufacturing advanced filter equipment. The center also provides test facilities for customers who want to develop new filter products. Enditem
