During Gala Dinner at Globe Bar, Centara Grand Hotel, Bangkok, the winners of Golden Leaf Award 2009 were proudly announced. Not less than 150 people representing tobacco industries around the globe were witnessing the trophy award ceremony to the winners who also received US$1,000 check each for the charity of their choice. The GLA 2009 winners were Sopariwala for The Most Impressive Public Service Initiative category, Filigent for The Most Promising New Product Introduction, Arabian Nights Shisha for The Most Exciting Newcomer to The Industry, US Flue Cured Tobacco Growers Inc. for its Outstanding Service to The Industry and the winner for The BMJ Most Committed to Quality for this year was Bimo.
