Filtrona Filter Products has combined two technologies to create a new filter that offers optimum performance and visual differentiation.
The Shaped Coaxial Core Filter uses the two tow coaxial configuration of the Coaxial Core Filter together with the process used to shape tow for Shaped Acetate Filters and Tube Segment Filters.

The result is said to be a filter that, when used on a ventilated cigarette, offers significantly reduced levels of carbon monoxide and other vapor phase gases, without reducing tar levels proportionately.
It offers also good cigarette draw resistance, even with high ventilation, and so retains a high-quality smoking experience.
A wide range of material combinations, lengths, and circumferences can be used to control the smoke flow, the levels of tar and nicotine retention, the reduction of carbon monoxide, and the draw resistance.
Visual differentiation is possible because the inner core can be formed into a variety of cross-sectional shapes and colored.
The plugwrap can be standard or porous, depending on the required ventilation. Enditem
