China Government Commission Approves Paper-Process Reconstituted Tobacco Producing Joint Venture

The National Development and Reform Commission - a central government agency in charge of economic development and reform in China - approved in October a Chinese-foreign joint-venture project for producing high-grade and medium-grade paper-process reconstituted tobacco with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons. The project, known as China Tobacco Schweitzer Reconstituted Tobacco Co., Ltd., will apply the two-step reconstituted tobacco producing technology of Schweitzer. Enditem
