Tobacco Machinery Company Makes Cigarette Making, Tipping Machine Combination

The flexible assembly and manufacturing line at Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. in south central China's Hunan Province completed the production and in-factory debugging of a first ZJ17 cigarette making and tipping machine combination on September 16, signifying successful operation of the company's flexible assembly and manufacturing line. The ZJ17 cigarette making and tipping machine combination will be shipped to Chuxiong Cigarette Factory in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province. The successful operation of the flexible assembly and manufacturing line means that Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd.'s form of organization of assembly and production is undergoing a shift from the model of small-order and multiple frequency production onto the model of modernized flow line production. Changde Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. started the process of fulfilling the project of technical transformation of its flexible manufacturing model in September 2008, under the guidance of the policy of "keeping improvement and preventing waste". On the basis of planning and implementation over the past year, three mixed filling flow lines for manufacturing ZJ17 and ZJ112 high-speed cigarette making and tipping machines have been installed and put into operation. On August 13, 2009, the flexible assembly and manufacturing line was officially put into operation. Upon entry into operation, it was immediately used for producing the first ZJ17 cigarette making and tipping machine combination for Chuxiong Cigarette Factory. The assembly of all parts and components of the combination was conducted in an orderly way as scheduled, before it was put to final assembly and debugging for shipment to the user later in the month.
