Cham Temporarily Halts Production

Feb 6, 2009-Swiss specialty paper manufacturer Cham-Tenero Paper Mills, a subsidiary of Cham Paper Group, will take two weeks' machine downtime in February 2009, due to low order intake. Similar measures have been planned for the Cham's two Italian mills. This will enable Cham Paper Group to react more flexibly to the exceptionally volatile fluctuations in demand presently being experienced. Despite the currently unfavorable business climate, Cham Paper Group will continue its investment program. A new CHF20 million ($17.12 million) Curtain Coating facility will be installed according to plan at Cham specialty paper mill. Enditem
