Raess Information

In July 2007 Wolke Inks & Printers LP was formed as subsidiary of the German headquater. Wolke a leading international provider of industrial marking systems and has built-up a reputation especially in the tobacco industry. In the tobacco industry the coding of products and their outer packaging is an important factor and it is a permanent feature in the production process. The coding of batch numbers, times, or 2D-datamatrix codes serves both the traceability and the safety of product counterfeiting. Wolke, pioneer of the thermal ink jet technology in the coding market, has meanwhile placed 3,500 of its m600 printing systems on the market and established itself as a reliable supplier of coding solutions especially in the tobacco industry. As it was being imitated by many companies, the time had come to set new standards with new and further developments. With the m600 basic and its 2-print-head technology, Wolke is offering a model for starters. The advanced version of the well-known m600 coding system is the specialist within our range thanks to its many new features. m600 basic - Wolke's model for starters! With the m600 basic, Wolke is launching a new model for starters with an extremely simple user interface. The labelling system, which uses max. 2 print heads, also satisfies the high quality and compatibility requirements Wolke demands of its systems. The m600 basic is characterized by its compact and handy design. The technology for a perfect printing result is accommodated within an extremely small space. Absolutely ingenious is the m600 basic's keypad, which is oriented towards the keypad function of a mobile phone. A 5.7-inch full colour display and Wolke's standardized IP-65 housing with USB Ethernet and TCP/IP interfaces are exemplary for the high standard. Even the basic model for starters has 10 MB for free flash and RAM memory alike. When it comes to the print heads, the customer can choose between the Wolke m600 print heads which have been designed for various applications and differ only in design and can thus be integrated optimally in any production environment. For the most common applications, sample labels with various design options have already been saved. The labels can simply be overwritten or edited and saved by the user. The m600 basic provides the user with a stand-alone application which ensures rapid installation and straightforward handling of the label and print settings. Users can operate the device within a few minutes, without special training. The free Label Designer software - already known from the m600 - which enables straightforward creation of print labels on the PC is also available to users of the m600 basic. m600 advanced - always one step ahead! The m600 advanced had only just been launched on the market when it received its first award, the "Innovationspreis 2007 Industrie der Initiative Mittelstand" (Innovation award 2007 of the Industry initiated by medium-sized business enterprises). And for good reason, too - as the m600's successor model excels with its future-oriented features. The m600 advanced provides maximum performance thanks to the use of the very latest processors and also features USB, Ethernet/IP and TCP/IP interfaces as standard. The m600 advanced is now capable of receiving complete database contents from a higher-level computer and of processing them in real-time mode. The advanced convinces thanks to a variety of integrated software requirements voiced by the industry. Hundreds of possible settings satisfy the special functions which are especially required for automation of plants via host computers. The manual for interface command options alone comprises over 300 pages at present. Data backup of every single label printed by returning the print data to a host computer represents a ground-breaking innovation on the labeling market, simplifying the tracking and tracing process enormously as of now. Variable address and labeling data can be printed directly from a database. Straightforward printing of Data matrix codes in accordance with ECC 200 standards is possible with the m600 advanced. The m600 advanced also satisfies the requirements stipulated in "21 CFR Part 11", a validation standard of the pharmaceutical industry, regarding the use of electronic documents and signatures. For the validation established in the pharmaceutical industry in accordance with the Good Automated Manufacturing Practices GAMP, we provide our customers with the appropriate documentations (FS=Functional Specification; IQ=Installation Qualification; OQ=Operational Qualification). The documents ensure that the labeling systems have been tested and meet the highest standards. For barcode verification, Wolke offers the appropriate ISO standard verification devices on request. All these features, combined with the performances of its predecessor, make the m600 advanced a coding system unsurpassed on the market, which represents a significant step as regards performance. Added value without added costs! The design and management of print labels and labels is extremely easy, thanks to the m600 software package provided by Wolke Inks & Printers GmbH. The m600 Label Designer permits easy, safe and rapid creation and processing of complex print labels on the PC. The integrated original m600 font packages simplify the creation of labels and thus provide the required result in a less time-consuming manner. The m600 Ethernet Manager enables the functional transfer of data to the m600 and back for data backup on the PC, while permitting the application of free, new software updates. The integrated Remote Control function helps to control several m600 units from a central point. Smooth printing with the m600 Centaur bulk system In future, the m600 Centaur bulk system will ensure a smooth printing process. The system provides space for two 350ml ink bulk systems. The level-insensitive bulk cartridges are straightforward to replace during the printing process. This makes downtimes for cartridge replacement a thing of the past.
