US: Portland Raises Legal Age to Buy Tobacco

The Portland city council voted unanimously Monday night to raise the legal age to buy tobacco from 18 to 21 years old.

The ordinance applies to all tobacco products, and even non-tobacco nicotine products like vaporizers.

The age limit to use these items is still 18 years old.

About 100 cities in the U.S. have rules like this one in place. Enditem
