Sri Lanka Raises Cigarette Prices

The prices of all brands of cigarettes have been increased by one and two rupees from today, the Government Information Department said.

The Ministry of Finance said with the revision to National Building Tax, prices of cigarettes will be increased by 1 and 2 rupees with effect from 1st January.

According to the Ceylon Tobacco Company, the prices of Gold Leaf, Dunhill SWITCH and Benson & Hedges have been increased by two rupees while the prices of Bristol and Capstan cigarettes have been increase by one rupee. Enditem
