India: ''Never endorsed tobacco, alcohol''

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, on Saturday, said he has gone by his father's advice to date not to endorse tobacco products or alcohol.

"On occasions when I was approached to do this kind of ads, and I could have been carried away at that early stage in my career, my father's advice and support of my team helped me stay away."

He was choosy with brand endorsement, seeing if they added value to people's lives and/or gave them happiness. He was extremely uncomfortable and took years to adjust with the camera. Enditem
