US: VT Attorney General Announces Settlement With Tobacco Dealer Source from: WVNY ABC22 (Burlington, VT) 01/16/2015 ![]() The Vermont Attorney General announces a settlement with a tobacco dealer. The Attorney General's Office says Christopher Moreau, of Barre, Vt., failed to file required reports, maintain records, report the sale of certain tobacco products, and illegally sold their own store brand of roll-your-own tobacco. Under the terms of the settlement, Moreau and his business must surrender their tobacco retail license. They will also pay $1,000 into the tobacco litigation fund, and $500 to the state of Vermont to defray costs of the investigation. The Attorney General's Office says they will also pay the state a $50,000 penalty if they receive sufficient income or assets over the next five years based on their financial status. Enditem |
