Eurasian Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus to Implement Regulations on the Packaging And Labeling of Tobacco Products from 2017 Source from: World Health Organization 12/02/2014 ![]() A few weeks ago the Eurasian Economic Commission Council (the governing body of the Eurasian Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus) adopted technical regulations on the packaging and labeling of tobacco products. As of 2017, these three countries of the Union will have: 50% front and back pictorials;the front pictorial warnings are on the top of the pack; In conclusion, as of January 2017 strong, uniform packaging policies will be in place in three countries covering 170 million people in our Region. In addition Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will also implement those regulations once they attain full membership of the Customs Union. Enditem |
