US: Massachusetts Town Rejects Tobacco Sales Ban

Westminster rejected a ban on tobacco sales that would have it the first in the nation to legislate the products off store shelves in the town near Boston, Massachusetts, the Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise said.

Rejection by the town Board of Health came on a 2-1 vote and in response to massive protest by residents, the newspaper said on its website. The proposal had drawn international media attention. Enditem
