US: Malden Votes "Yes" on Smoking Ban

Voters in Malden, Mo voted to restrict smoking in public areas within city limits on Tuesday.

It was a tight race, with only 52 percent of people voting "yes".

Malden will be the second southeast Missouri city to have a smoking ban.

Kennett implemented smoking restrictions this April.

Smoking in Malden will be prohibited in places like enclosed public places, places of employment, private clubs, with five feet of outdoor playgrounds, within five feet of outside entrances, or operable windows, or ventilation systems, of enclosed areas where smoking is prohibited. Enditem
